Senior System Engineer – Storage

As the Senior System Engineer – Storage, you will be primarily responsible for Storage hardware and software installation and configuration; upgrades and patches; monitoring; performance tuning; documentation. You will also focus on the storage-related operational activities, take actions to ensure maximum performance, availability and reliability of the supported platform/technology. Practical NAS experience, with an emphasis on concurrent NFS and SMB client access, is very important.

• 10+ years of experience planning, installing and administering NAS environments with a concurrent mixture of SMB and NFS clients. Position Overview: 

The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) in New York City is one of the premier science, research and cultural institutions in the country. The American Museum of Natural History is seeking a Systems Administrator to work with the Rose Center Engineering staff to maintain production systems and pipelines, systems related to the Hayden Planetarium digital dome, and audio video and interactive systems throughout the museum. Duties will include the daily preparation of the multi-channel dailies systems, emergency support and repairs as needed on playback systems, and support for a render farm, storage, and servers.

Nexus is a highly creative and award-winning animation production company based in Shoreditch, london. 

We’re looking for a Junior to Mid Level Pipeline TD to provide holiday cover and support the studio during this busy time. Contract would start asap for approximately 3-4 weeks, with the possibility of staying longer depending on the individual.

Margarita Mix Hollywood, a FotoKem company, is looking for an experienced Technical Maintenance Engineer to support and maintain their Audio/Video Post-Production facility.  Job duties will include software and hardware installation, upgrading, and troubleshooting in all aspects of our Pro Tools Environment.  This is a full time Maintenance support position only, which will not include any Creative Recording, Mixing, Editing, or Color Grading duties.

Required Experience (at least 3 years) in the following areas:

• Pro Tools 12 and 2018 installations, upgrading, and troubleshooting
• Matrix hardware and Dadman software upgrading       
• Maintaining and upgrading D-Command and  S6 Control Surfaces
• Source Connect plugin remote sessions (Mono, Stereo, 5.1, & RTS)
• ISDN remote sessions – APT Milano & Telos Zephyr Xstream (Mono & Stereo)
• Digital License Maintenance with Waves/iLok/3^rd Party Software
• Apple OS upgrades/installations/compatibility

Other job duties: Installation of various video and audio equipment, operating an emergency backup generator, and troubleshoot office equipment such as desktop computers, phones, fax machines, copiers, printers, etc.

Not required, but a plus if the candidate has experience with:

• Media Composer & Symphony upgrading and troubleshooting
• ISIS & NEXIS storage administration

Description:

System Administrators ensure the ongoing smooth running of our production systems with a view to developing the systems for the future. Location: Trixter Munich GmbH. This role would occasionally require providing support outside of core week-day hours and on weekends to support production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and implement storage infrastructure
• Implement the primary direction, and strategic road-map for IT systems (including networks, servers, infrastructure services, storage)
• Advise and support implementation servers as well as large technical projects.
• Maintain and support network infrastructure (monitoring, benchmarking, etc.)
• Installing and supporting 3rd party software packages as well as managing license accounting

Production Manager

NextVR is the premier virtual reality producer.     We are looking for a full-time Production Manager to join our fast paced and dynamic team.    The Production Manager will spearhead shows in the NextVR’s production pipeline.  Shows range from live multi-camera weekly truck broadcast to small international shoots in the fields of sports and entertainment.  

The Production Manager will be a point person for all events, they will need to identify and provide support for all production needs. This position will play an integral part in planning events that align with the goals set by the producers and our shows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist SVP with planning remote events
• Participates in long term organization and planning of major events throughout the calendar
• Facilitate, track, and maintain budgets and organization of multiple off-site productions
• Calendar management, crewing, credentialing, payroll, arrangements, and purchasing power
• Logistical coordination of travel, meals, and expenses for production crew of 4 -50
• Organize production schedules for various shows simultaneously   
• Liaise among different departments, vendors and partners

Required Qualifications

• Four year college degree required
• Must be available for domestic and international travel with minimal notice
• 3+ years experience in entertainment productions of some form: commercials, music videos, theatrical or broadcast TV
• Experience with expense management
