RESPONSIBILITIES

In a varied, complex and challenging role, you will be responsible for ?Monitor and Projector Calibration, as well as Traditional Video Engineering.  You’ll manage LTO Tape Drives (Scripts and Yoyotta), while also managing our Digital Cinema Server Support and our Mac/Windows/Linux Support.  You’ll provide Clipster, Venice and Spycer Support,  HD/SD Router Switcher Configuration and Maintenance plus Avocent KVM Configuration and Support.  Finally, you’ll get to provide Baselight General Support, Flame Support, VT Support and Maintenance and provide system design.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field
  • Previous experience working in a high-end data-centric VFX, Post Production or entertainment environment
  • Previous experience installing, maintaining and upgrading Baselight, Lustre, Smoke, Avid, SAN, Arri etc
  • Knowledgeable about Linux, OSX, Windows, Networking, File systems, Colour Science
  • Able to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment, prioritise work effectively, multi-task and understands the impact on Production and Operations in the case of an equipment failure
  • Able to communicate with multiple challenging stakeholders using non-technical language

    • Work closely with other TD’s and Production Supervisors to maintain and further the production pipeline.

    • Ideal Candidate:

    • Experience applying Shotgun knowledge on VFX, Animation or Games Production.
