Requirements:

  • 4+ Years of Python development experience.

Knowledge and Skills

All candidates must possess the following:

Application Pipeline Lead

Method pipeline leads help shape the evolution of our technologies and workflows to enable productions to work more quickly and efficiently. The Application Pipeline Lead focuses on front-end user-facing software, guiding the design and development of artist and production tools that interface or plug in to our primary visual effects software applications. Our leads should be versatile and able to tackle new problems throughout the post-production pipeline as we push new technology forward.

Responsibilities

Work closely with pipeline supervisor, project manager, and other pipeline leads to:

  • Architect, design, and plan software development.

The Clean Plate Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Clean Plate/Prep Comp team, ensuring that all the tasks are created according to the specifications outlined for productions they oversee. This role will require close partnerships with the production management team, VFX supervisor, and research and development team.

Clean Plate Department Supervisor Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Supervises and trains the Clean Plate team to deliver expected and desired results for each film.

Requirements:

-5+ years’ work experience required in 3D CG for digital animation or visual effects film.
-A reel demonstrating Compositing work is required. Work should include shot breakdown.
-Demonstrated team leadership and project management experience is required.
-Strong eye for detail regarding precision, color, perspective and motion.
-Proficiency in plate/camera tracking, alpha matte creation, painting, de-graining, re-graining, film plates, and color correction of plate elements is required.
-Expertise with Nuke is required.
-Demonstrates artistic ability and attention to detail.

Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Render Wrangler administers render job queues, checking and validating output of completed jobs and reporting any issues or failed jobs to the original submitter. This role monitors and resolves issues regarding troubled and/or failed render nodes, reports critical issues as necessary, ensures the continuous running of the render farm during non-regular business hours, and contributes to the documentation of rendering procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monitor troubled and/or failed render nodes, blocking and reporting failed nodes from picking up and continually failing jobs
- Report critical issues (i.e. network, storage, and/or service failure) to Rendering Lead and/or Senior Systems Administrators as necessary

- Contribute to the documentation of rendering procedures


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The Compositor is responsible for 3D compositing and artifact removal. A Compositor applies depth passes from Legend3D’s proprietary software to client assets and final source plates.
